September 2010 Julia & Robert & Daisy are wonderful hosts.The Bed & Breakfast is very comfortable and has everything you need. The pool a pleasure to use and sun yourself - lots of garden games. The breakfast, very scrummy yummy, the jams best in France! A very relaxing area, and the hospitality A1. Julia made us feel very welcome, we will be back next year. July - 2010 What a beautiful place. And wonderful hosts. It is a fantastic place to stay - Great views, great weather and a fantastic cook. July - 2010 Three days of 'du Calme' in the midst of our first family OS holiday! Thank you for sharing your home, garden and fruit. We are an English couple who live in France and like to take regular breaks in various parts of France in properties ranging from farms to châteaux, I have to say that Gite de Calme is the best place we have ever stayed. Julia and Robert make you feel so at home, the accommodation is stunning, the website and photos do not do it justice, if ever you have been disappointed then this is for you, if it was possible for you to feel the rooms atmosphere and the total ambiance on the website, you would have a warm feeling inside you now:) Truly a relaxed home from home experience in a great part of France. Oct 09 - Rob and Angelica, USA - We had such a wonderful time and truly enjoyed Julia and Rob's hospitality! We felt welcome and enjoyed the wonderful breakfast treats! The room was excellent and we truly felt comfortable. We will definitely recommend the B&B to anyone! It seems to be in the middle of nowhere - allowing one to relax in the atmosphere, but it is so close to Cognac and Saintes providing a great location to explore both. Julia and Rob were absolutely fabulous, offering wonderful tips to truly enjoy the area. Thank you for allowing us to have a great weekend!

June 2009 The Beech family london We had a wonderful time at Gite Du Calme and would recommend it to anyone. Julia and Rob were fantastic hosts and really made us welcome. Our son loved having homemade jelly for breakfast in the morning! Gite du calme is beautifully and tastefully done and also has quite a cosmpolitan feel. Even the toilet paper was luxurious! We really hope to go again..

We had a great time staying at the gite, which really lives up to its name as an oasis of calm! The high level of comfort, relaxed atmosphere, and your wonderful hospitality all made for a perfect break, and it is without hesitation that we recommend a stay! Our three year old daughter loved it so much she did not want to leave! Thank you both for the advice on renovating in France and we look forward to seeing you again in September.
